Seriously.

I'm turning into an old, boring spinster.

Seriously.

I don't have a social life.  I hardly have time to check my Facebook and Yahoo! accounts. And most of my time is being consumed by work, work and nothing but work.

Weekends are spent just lounging around at home, either watching DVDs or reading a good book or just dozing off.

It's been a very busy 2012 but I don't mind.  I know that the dust will eventually settle and I'll be back to my old fun and quirky self in no time! :) Hehe. (with enough time on my hands to go out and enjoy)

So anyway, we had a 2-days summit in Baguio last weekend. As expected, it's not really for pure R&R. It's actually work. Hahahah. Yeah I know. I'm turning into an old, boring workaholic. LOL.

But we managed to find time to go out last Saturday night.  I went out with my officemates and we drank and danced and shisha-ed the night away! Hahaha. Like what they always say, work hard - party harder! LOL.

It was a very cold night but since I really do not own anything long and thick to cover my hot bod from the 15-degrees-C windy night, I just opted to wear a dress and a jacket! Hahahaha. Good luck naman sa lameg. Tiis-ganda at its best. When we got to Nevada Square, we were shocked because most of the women were wearing tube-tops and minis! WOW! Nagmukha akong conservative! Hahahahahaha! May mga naka-shorts pa at sando! OMG! Hindi ka ata IN dun pag wala kang pulmonia! LOL. Everyone was dressed to party! Wala silang pakialam kahit na 15 degrees pa yung lameg!

It was a fun night.  Had a great time partying with my officemates.

Me and my Isaw. BOW.

 Booze fest

Shisha + mango-flavor = Sarap!!!

Kumusta? :)

So this is how a "Barker" feels like....

What is a "Barker"?

Here's what Wikipedia has to say ---
barker is a person who attempts to attract patrons to entertainment events, such as a circus or funfair, by exhorting passing public,[1] describing attractions of show and emphasizing variety, novelty, beauty, or some other feature believed to incite listeners to attend entertainment.
The pinoy-version of a "Barker" is one who stations himself near where the public utility vehicles are (ie jeepneys and buses) and calls the attention of passengers. Yung mga tipong sisigaw ng "Kyaaaaaaaaaaappppooooooooooooo" or "Kuuubbbbaaaawwww" or "Onting usog dyan, sampu-an yan!" Ganyan. Hehe.

So what does that have to do with me? Pinasok ko na rin ba ang pagbabarker? HAHAHAHAHA! Well, not really.... but I now understand how a barker feels like after a longggggggg day of shouting and yelling and vocal chords-stretching. Haha.

Read on.

I hosted a party at the Fort earlier this afternoon.  The party was at 3pm but I was there an hour early because I need to prepare all the stuff that I need to use.

It was a Hello Kitty-themed party but I didn't have anything pink in my closet and I cannot grow whiskers overnight (LOL) so I opted to wear something lace-y and girly.

Everything was alright except for the sound system.  The music was sucky and the microphone was not functioning!!!!!!!!! One of my pet-peeves as a host is when I am not given a good sound system.  It's easier to get your message across when you're clearly heard by the crowd, especially when majority of the crowd's composed of 6-years-old kids with short attention spans. Hahahahaha!

But of course the show must go on. There are people who were 'born with a silver spoon', and there are those who were 'born with a built-in microphone'.  Fortunately (or unfortunately? haha), I belong to the latter.

Parang lahat ng litid ko lumabas this afternoon! Hahahahaha! I had to keep my voice loud and clear and fun to get everyone's attention. Kalowka. But it was still an awesome party despite the slight technical booboos! The kids and adults alike had so much fun especially when I asked them to play musical chairs! Hahaha.

But seriously, it was a bit stressful to shout for a couple of hours straight.  Now I totally get how barkers feel like after a long day of work... Or wives who scream endlessly at their philandering husbands.... Or football fans who cheer and yell for their team during Super Bowl... Or bosses who scream because they've been given the wrong report... LOL! Nakakapagod sumigaw, pramis. Hehe.

I'm wishing you all a very serene, yell-free Sunday! :) Hehehe!

What's Up, Ketchup?

Christmas is just three months away. I am not a millionaire (and not even close to being one) so I only have a special list of people who I give gifts to every Christmas. At the top of the list are my pamangkins -  I have 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

For the past two (or was it three?) Christmases, I haven't bought them anything special. I just gave them money so they can buy whatever they want to buy. I am a bad aunt, I know. So this year, I want to make it up to them by giving them real gifts. And by real gifts, I mean, usable and practical and wrapped gifts. Hahaha. Because I know how special Christmas is for kids, right? And I know how they anticipate un-wrapping their presents.

I started my Christmas list a couple of days ago, and I bought gifts already for two of my nieces. I still don't know what to get my nephews. Ang hirap mag-isip ng gifts para sa mga boys =( I don't watch TV that much so I don't know what's the 'in' thing for teenagers nowadays. Hmmmmm... They might kill me if I buy them anything Justin-Bieber. Hahahahahhaa!

I remember one Christmas when I couldn't decide what to get for all 6 of them. So what I bought for them was these rubber shoes that had built-in rollers in them. It was what most of the parents were buying at that time so it gave me the idea that that was the 'in' thing for the bagets. Luckily, they all loved it. Hehe. Ndi nila alam, naki-usyoso lang ako sa kung san maraming mga bumibili sa mall.

Anyway, I didn't leave the mall without buying something for myself too! I like quirky, crazy stuff. So when I saw these shoes in the mall, I knew that I had to get them. Parang feeling ko ginawa talaga sya para sa mga loka-lokang kagaya ko. Hahahahaha!

Brogues + rubber = LOVE!

When I wore it the next day, my friends all said the same thing - "It's sooooo you!". I don't know if it's an insult or a compliment though, ahahahahhahaha!!!!!

Anyway, what have you guys been up to lately?

Don't forget to include me in your Christmas shopping, okay? :)
