Recharge

I've been working in the same company for 5 years now and my colleagues always ask me where I get my motivation and positivity from. On my performance review last month, my boss commended me for having a very positive take on things.

My friends also tell me that I am a very positive person. I don't know what made them say that but I guess looking at the glass half-full has always been one of my inborn qualities. But what's alarming is that lately, I feel like I'm running out of positive vibes.

Stress from the daily grind... responsibilities... personal issues...unrealized expectations... Sigh. These are things that get the best of me sometimes. I am human too, you know. I can't be all positive and sunshin-y all of the time.

So just for tonight, I'd give myself the chance to rant. To become a scrooge. To not be my usual self. Because sometimes it's okay to not be okay.

What to do in times like these?

1. Move, move, move! Yes, it's nice to exercise and sweat all your stress away. So last night, I put on my midriff tanktop and my skimpy shorts and I danced in front of the mirror. Hahaha! Yes, I danced to the tune of Keisha's TikTok. At 2-freakin-AM! LOL. And it felt real good. I danced, gyrated and made a goofball of myself. 'Twas fun!

2. Eat to your heart's content! This morning I stuffed myself silly with all things yummy. I ate palabok, fresh lumpia, kwek-kwek, egg pie and banana bread. Yeheyyyyyy.

3. Rekindle an old hobby! I've been real busy with school and work and life the past few months that I sort of lost the time and interest to read books. This week, I started reconnecting with my paperbacks. I'm currently reading Nelson DeMille's "The General's Daughter".

4. Think of your blessings!

5. Pray.

And last but not the least, blog about it! Hahaha. Yes, it's really therapeutic to put all your emotions on print. Because it's sometimes nice to acknowledge within yourself that you are not okay. What's not okay is when you don't feel okay and you don't do anything to be okay. Hehehehe, kakahilo no? :)

Well at least I'm doing something about it. So I'm sure I'll be back to being Ms. Sunshine in the next few days.

How about you, are you losing it? What do you do to recharge?

Hope everyone's having a fantastic Friday!

paki-sigaw nga rin sa tenga ko yang

"sometimes it's okay to not be okay"

may nakapagsabi na rin sa akin nyan sa office... sabi nya "i am not like you... you seems happy everyday"

damn ibig sabihin ba nun mapagpanggap lang ako? like you i'v been down lately... but i dont want to spread negativity to other people...

pero minsan ang hirap na rin itago.

Double D - opkors I am human with superpowers. Hahaha.

Roanne - people always think na jolly and positive ako, which is ganun naman talaga ko most of the time. But sometimes, syempre, there are situations that makes me feel otherwise. Yeah, minsan masarap nalang itago pero mas masarap to keep everything real. Kaya kung ako ikaw, let it out! :) It's okay to not be okay. Hope everything will turn out better for you soon.

Hmm, you got Superpowers too? I wonder what you have...

I got steel skin (skin is like dried leather. Hard to pierce or even cut. I got this habit of using my arm to test if knives and stuff are sharp enough.) and superhuman strength (Yeah, I may not look like it but I can lift loads heavier than normal) but I got this Achilles heel.(Literally. My feet are still killing me. Lol) The only weakness (soft spot) is my wife. I got stabbed multiple times and I didn't feel a thing. I was even surprised that my back was bleeding. . . But whenever my wife accidentally (or even intentionaly) hits me anywhere with her sharp fingernails, I get crumpled in the agony of pain.

So, what superpowers do you have? Lol!!!

Back to seriousness:

Maybe what you really need is someone to tell you that "Everything's gonna be alright."

Ikaw kasi, ayaw mo magreply sa akin... Pwede naman kita pasahan ng Positive vibes anytime na kailangan mo. :D
