Friends for Life

I am the type of person who puts a premium on relationships - relationship with family, friends and of course,  romantic connections.

The friends that I have made when I was still in Kinder and Elementary are still my friends till now. We meet from time to time to catch up on what's new with our lives.  Most of them have families of their own, while there are still a handful of us who are enjoying our single-blessedness. Hehehe!

I met up with my elementary friends last Friday at Tides. The place was packed with teenage kids! Ugh! Ang ingay at ang init! Maybe I'm getting really old because nowadays, I prefer going to places  na hindi masyado maingay at matao.

I was looking at my old album when I chanced upon this photo. I think we were still in Grade 3 when this picture was taken. Hahaha! Classic diba?

Now look at our picture last Friday. Ang lalaki na namen! Kakaaliw! :)

We were the cool, nerdy kids when we were still young. And now we've all turned out to be cigarette-hogging, alcohol-loving people! Bwahahahahaha! Oh, how time flies.

Weekend Tales : Luau Party

I'm sick. I've colds and I'm slightly feverish. Maybe because I've been to too many parties this weekend and exhaustion caught up with me.

One of the parties I've attended was this Luau party at Ayala Hillside Estates. The recreation center was nice. The infinity pool was lovely.

My only beef about the place was that there wasn't enough ventilation considering that the party was held in the afternoon! Buti nalang ndi ako nag-ayos kung hindi tunaw ang make-up ko. Hahahaha! Arte lang.

We were given garlands at the entrance to complete the Hawaiian-slash-Luau feel.

Attended the party with my close friends so it was an afternoon well-spent despite the heat. Hehehe!

I'm taking Bioflu and Mefenamic but I don't think it's effective. Sigh. I think I'll just stay home this coming weekend so I can catch up on sleep/rest.

Hope all of you are A-okay! :)

Just when I told myself that I'll update my blog more often, my laptop crashed. Good timing diba! It's still in the service center getting an overhaul. And the guy from Electroworld said that it might take 3 weeks before I can get it back.

I'm using this tablet thingy to do this update and I'm slowly losing my patience. Ang hirap magtype pag touchscreen :(

The laptop needed to be reformatted so I need to say goodbye to all my recent pictures. Sigh. I should've saved them to an external harddrive. Hay. And all my TV series downloads are there too! Sayang.

MORAL LESSON: (Wag magdownload ng porn para di mavirus) Always back up your important files.

Lines That Make Me "KILIG"

1. "The time now is 12NN. Please synchronize your clock. Your delivery will arrive in 30 to 40 minutes."

I know that I am not getting any younger and I would probably regret my eating habits a couple of years from now but I really cannot resist NOT eating fastfood. Especially since I live alone and most of the time I cannot muster enough strength after work to cook something healthy and edible. While most people have their parents or their loved-ones on speed dial, number 1 on my list is McDonalds, Jollibee, Chowking and KFC (not exactly in that order). I get this warm fuzzy feeling everytime I hear the fastfood representative say that my order will arrive in 30minutes. I feel as if I'm 4-years old once again and I'm waiting for Santa Claus to come by our house on Christmas Eve. Yes, I am a fastfood junkie. (If there are kids reading my blog - WAG NYO AKONG TULARAN.)

2. "I love you." Of course I get butterflies in my stomach everytime I hear this line especially if it's from someone that I fancy. To quote my friends ~ "O, water-water ka na naman!" Hahahaha! But of course, there are different levels of LOVE. I also get kilig everytime I hear my parents, my siblings and my pamangkins utter these words to me. I live in a very loving family and we are used to saying "I love you's" to each other. No matter how many times I hear them say it, it still melts my heart. :)

3. "Double-pay tayo bukas."

Yes, this line never fails to make me feel giddy inside-n-out. It has the same effect as Patrick Dempsey getting on one knee and asking me to marry him. HAHAHAAH! Of course I slave myself to work everyday and knowing that I'm getting paid double for a day's work amps up the kilig-ness factor! :)

4. "Sale sa SM!"

I am a cheapskate. You must all know that by now. I get skittish everytime I see the SALE sign in shopping malls. I don't shop that much but on the rare occasions that I do, I always try to get them when they are on SALE. Hahaha! Hello, times are hard noh! LOL!

How about you, what makes you KILIG? I want to know. =)
