My Motel Experience (and no, it doesn't involve whips & chains)

How did my weekend go?

Hmmm.. I went to work Friday night. Month-ends are really chaotic. So many things to finish before another month begins. Such a pain in the bun but I'm not complaining. Just stating a fact. Ha!

I got off work Saturday morning and rushed off to school for my 7:30am class.

Funnily enough, I thought I was deadmeat because I had a couple of homeworks that were due that day that I was not yet able to complete. B-U-T to my delight,  there were no classes that day! Woo-hoo!  Instead of the usual classroom discussion, all of us were required to attend this conference about this and that. I will not delve into details because I don't want to bore you out of your wits.

Anyway, the conference was scheduled for the whole day so my friend and I decided to stuff ourselves with lots and lots of food to fight off the sleepiness (I havent had sleep yet remember since I came from work??), the hunger and the boredom away.

My friend and I decided to eat out for lunch since most of the food in the school cafeteria was blah! Because there werent any fastfood joints  relatively close, you know where we ended up having lunch? In the restaurant of a drive-thru motel! Hehehe!
(here's our pic while waiting for the speaker to arrive)

Uhhhmmm, well if you live in Manila, you will probably have an idea where this is at...

But for the benefit of our dear beloved readers across the globe (Naks! Haha), we ate at Town and Country Hotel (or is it Motel?) in  Sta.Mesa.   This place is infamously known to be the "earthquake capital" of Manila because there are lots of horizontal movements happening in this side of town, if you know what I mean. Hahaha!

I was super hungry that  day but I wasn't in the mood to eat motel food so I just  ordered burger and  fries.  Plus we  need to get back in an  hour for the second half of the conference.   Anyway, I do not know if it was out of hunger or what, but the burger tasted heavenly! Surprisingly, the fries and the chicken that went with it also tasted delisioso!  And it's all for a measly  P115 (roughly $2.50)!
Another nice thing about eating there is that despite the heat of the afternoon Manila sun , the place is coooool and it has TV and the restroom's clean! I wouldn't mind eating there again next week when I go to school. What other motel food do you think is palatable? Pancit? Sisig? Spaghetti?

I think you meant "vertical movements".

(On second thought, hell, it might even be diagonal movements, LOL!)

Neckro - at bakit ka sa beerhouse nag breakfast? Ito ba ay dahil inumaga ka na dun or talagang sinadya mo lang na dun mag breakfast? LOL!
